🔐 How Repo Pilot Stands Out 🔐 : Local-first security
🔐 Your API Key, Your Control — 100% Local & Secure
Repo Pilot requires your Google Gemini API key to enable AI-powered features.
But here’s the most important part:
✅ Your key never leaves your machine.
It’s stored only inside your local VS Code settings, not on any external server.
✅ No tracking. No remote storage. No cloud sync.
Everything — from configuration to requests — happens securely within your environment.
✅ You’re always in control.
You can view, update, or remove your key anytime directly from the Repo Pilot Settings panel.
✅ Every key you add stays 100% local — stored only within your VS Code settings, never uploaded or shared with any server.
Your workspace, your rules, your privacy — Repo Pilot is designed with developer trust and local-first security at its core.
